Budget analysis and organizational alignment
The CHALLENGE
The world's largest submerged tunnel project was faced with a significant overrun on the estimated cost for building a new tunnel. This prompted a “wall-to-wall” cost analysis to find efficiencies and drive down cost. The project focused on all the smaller contracts and the set-up of the owners-organization.
The solution
Mapping and analysis of expected future organizational re-sizing was done. This included mapping of current cost-base against tasks and resources, identification of cost-savings in contracts, budget-model for revenue-scenarios 5 years out, mapping of financial gap and development of decision base for top-management to ensure fit-for-purpose organizational tasks and competencies.
